Still Life Composition
Objective
Take a single high-quality still life colour photo and in a series of stages make adjustments to the composition. Use camera raw and Photoshop editing tools to balance the colour, contrast, focus the image and retouch out any distracting aspects. In step two create a greyscale, high contrast greyscale and a coloured greyscale from the optimized colour photo in the previous step. Part three, photo abstraction is the exploration of photo manipulation using creative filters to achieve different effects through applying colour to your greyscale.
Solution
Photo adjustments were made by using different blending modes, masks, opacities, gradients and effects. In certain explorations the elements in the background have been blurred to bring more focus to the baguette as the focal point.
